What if it rains on our wedding day?
Compass Rose offers multiple covered event spaces, including the Monaco Tent, Modern Barn, and Greenhouse, to accommodate weather changes.
What's included in each package?
Each package includes private access to Compass Rose grounds, full beverage service, culinary service, staffing, rentals, event management, and a two-night stay in our farmhouse. Additional services like florals, extended accommodations, and rehearsal dinners can be added as needed.
What types of packages do we offer?
We offer packages from 25-200 guest weddings. Our main packages are elopements (2-25), weekday (25-80) and weekend (80-200). For any off-package requests, please contact us for more information.
What is the venue capacity?
Our max venue capacity is 200.
How does the Weekday Package differ from the Weekend and Elopement options?
The Weekday Package is designed for more intimate weddings that don't require the full-scale setup of a weekend wedding. It offers private venue access, beverage service, catering, and accommodations but is tailored to a shorter timeframe and smaller guest list.
What's included in the catering services?
Cocktail hour with passed appetizers, full dinner service, dessert, late-night snack (weekend weddings only).
Can we add additional meals, like a rehearsal dinner or brunch?
Yes! Available options include: rehearsal dinner, day-after brunch catering service, and additional food courses or custom meal plans. Please reach out for more details on adding meals & services!
Who provides catering at Compass Rose?
All catering services are provided by Hawley Crescent, a trusted catering and event planning partner specializing in high-quality, customizable wedding menus.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Absolutely! The catering team is experienced in handling vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, and other dietary needs upon request.
Can we do a special meal theme, like a BBQ or cultural cuisine?
Yes! Hawley Crescent is highly flexible and can create a menu based on your vision, whether it's a classic fine dining experience, a BBQ feast, or a specific cultural cuisine.
What beverages are included?
The full beverage service includes: signature cocktails during cocktail hour, wine service during dinner, open bar for the reception, premium non-alcoholic options.
Can we customize the bar menu?
Yes! You can personalize the bar menu with signature cocktails, premium liquor selections, and non-alcoholic options.
Can we visit the venue before booking?
Yes! Tours can be scheduled by contacting Caro at info@compassrosesuites.ca. Touring couples receive 50% off a room if they decide to stay overnight.
What happens after we book our wedding?
Initial onboarding: you'll be connected with your event team (Compass Rose Venue Manager, Beverage Manager, and Hawley Crescent Planning Lead). Planning meetings: you'll schedule venue tours, tastings, and planning sessions. Finalization and check-ins: the last months leading up to the wedding involve reviewing details, finalizing guest count, and ensuring everything is on track.
How do our soft holds work?
Our soft hold allows you to reserve a wedding date temporarily. If another couple wants to book that date, you'll be notified and given 48 hours to decide before it's released.
